The lady IS red @ Viktor & Rolf

Dutch delight Nimuë Smit for Viktor & Rolf

Oui, oui, it’s Paris Fashion Week! Dutch designer duo Viktor & Rolf presented their latest autumn/winter 2011 collection at the Jardin des Tuileries’s Espace Ephémére. A runway show full of red faces, black and white outfits with a little bit of red. Hilary Alexander (Telegraph) wrote about a futuristic ‘Jurassic Park’ feel, as gleaming short-strapless dresses, jackets and pleated skirts appeared in silver leather, bristling with multiple applications of jagged-edge fins and fans. Well, didn’t we all love that exciting movie back in the days?

Video: Viktor & Rolf A/W ’10-’11 show @ Paris Fashion Week

Viktor & Rolf RTW Fall/Winter '10-'11

Viktor & Rolf and dressing their model on stage is something we’ve seen before. They have dressed up Maggie Rizer to a Russian Matroesjka-like doll wearing 70 kilos of fabric back in 1999 for their Fall/Winter Couture show, and now they’ve peeled of  Kristen McMenamy like an onion from the 22 layered outfits she was wearing (an online newspaper described her metamorphosis going from tent to Yeti to playboy bunny!) while the other models undisturbedly made their walk and put on one of her layers, to reverse the whole thing afterwards and dress Kristen up again.

Love this Dazed & Confused covershoot

Magdalena Frackowiak wears Viktor & Rolf

We loved the latest collection of Viktor & Rolf. Especially the cut out dresses in pink and blue. It really made us think of our Dutch ‘gatenkaas’ (translate: cheese with big holes in it, so digitalicious!). Now on the cover of Dazed & Confused: Magdalena Frackowiak in one of those lovely dresses. We like!
