During my visit to Copenhagen I stayed at a very nice boutique hotel: Hotel Guldsmeden. An urban oasis with focus on sustainability.
It is part of a range of hotels in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Oslo, Bali and the Côte d’Azur. There are three Guldsmeden hotels in Copenhagen, and ours was the Carlton Hotel Guldsmeden. Located near Central Station (about an 8 min walk), it’s an easy starting point to explore the city centre.
The Carlton Guldsmeden has recently been renovated and extended with a café and lounge area, where an organic breakfast is served in the morning. Just like the rooms -and the overall of the hotel- this area has the signature Balinese design, providing a cosy and homely athmosphere.
Four poster beds, persian carpets, feather duvets and a flatscreen are standard furbishing in the rooms, and the bathrooms offer a range of own-brand organic toiletries.
The hotel is certified by Green Globe as well as the Danish golden ø label for organic food and drink.
