Designer Winde Rienstra is one to watch. With her unconventional designs made of unusual materials she’s already part of the favourites of the Dutch fashion press.
We actually hoped she would at least open or close the Amsterdam Fashion Week, but she had her salon show on Saturday for a smaller audience.
The theme of her collection wasn’t very uplifting -Mourning Cloak, a blend of the Mexican Día del Muerte and the Japanese world of the samourai and geishas- but we forgot about that when seeing her meticulous craftmanship up close when we went backstage before the show.
