New Dior Addict Lipstick

I can’t think of a better way to spend a Tuesday afternoon than with Dior … and a few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing just that to celebrate the launch of the new Dior Addict lipstick.

The new collection has 35 gorgeous shades to choose from, divided into four categories: Glow (natural tones with a pearly shine), Bold and Flash (bright, pure colours), and Glitter (for a dramatic glittery factor). All hues have an ultra-glossy, long-lasting and hydrating finish, so you don’t need to worry about reapplying every 20 minutes. As Jennifer Lawrence, the face of Dior Addict, says, “Shine, don’t be shy.”

There are also four core colours in the collection, which were inspired by original vintage Dior designs: Smile (a soft pastel pink), Wonderful (bubblegum pink), Tribale (a gorgeous coral), and Be Dior (a bold magenta). Let’s consider this mix to be like a must-have basis for your lip colour collection.

What I like most about these lipsticks is what’s called the Hydra-Gel core. The “CD” monogram on the top of the lipstick is actually made from an ultra-moisturizing formula, and it runs all the way down through the full length of the stick. So it provides great hydration for your lips not only on the first use, but on every use all the way through. That Hydra-Gel core also has a top-coat-like quality, so it further gives your lips an extra shiny finish.

Dior hosted me for a mini-makeover using Smile lipstick and the Rosy Glow blush, which I fell in love with the moment it hit my cheeks. The blush is only available in one tone, because it’s able to react to your skin tone to give a custom rosy flush that’s suited for your individual complexion. How cool is that?
