In a bedroom setting in the Skylounge on the 11th floor of the Double Tree Hilton in Amsterdam, we got to hear the ins and outs of IKEA’s new season collection.
This time the focus is on the bed- and bathroom; two spaces in the house -where the everyday begins and ends- which are often taken for granted, but where we spend a lot of time during our lives. Did you know that when a person reaches 90 years of age, he/she will have slept for 32 years? Interesting, right?
One third of the offer for bed- and bathrooms has been renewed to give people more ideas on how to decorate these spaces indispensable for our wellbeing. Wether if it’s for the ideal family bathroom, your at home spa, the walk-in-closet bedroom or bedroom slash study, there is some for each taste.
Furthermore, IKEA will launch their updated catalogue app on August 12 with 60 pages extra inspiration in photo & video. 300 products are virtually available to show readers how these would blend in their interior, plus it offers 360º room views and many products are shareable on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and e-mail.
Concerning the development of the limited edition collections, the Swedish retailer has some interesting projects up its sleeve, starting with a collaboration with designer/creative director Ilse Crawford and something we’re quite excited about…a project with scandi-cool fashion label Acne is planned for Fall 2015. Can’t wait!
