The rumour-mill is ungoing. Is Karl Lagerfeld really leaving Chanel? Although he has reached the age of 76, we can’t imagine Chanel without the youthful and creative mind of Karl. His ‘supposed’ replacement, Alber Elbaz is a good designer, but no one beats Karl’s talents.
Fortunately a spokesperson from Chanel firmly denies the rumours, and released the following statement to Vogue:Karl Lagerfeld is the creative designer of Chanel and has a long-term contract with the company,” a Chanel spokesperson told VOGUE.COM today from Paris. “Replacing him is not an issue.”
