We had to share this cool video presenting the Katy Eary for River Island Design Forum collection, which was launched during London Fashion Week.
The Design Forum is the British retailer’s platform championing up and coming design talent in the fashion industry. For its Spring/Summer collection, River Island teamed up with Katie Eary womenswear capsule collection.
Eary created an 18-piece collection boasting vivacious prints and energetic colors. Summer season will rock more than ever before with flowing maxi dresses, swimwear and statement accessories. This is what she told the Telegraph about her inspiration: “My starting point was Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, except in my story it wasn’t Johnny Depp, it was my muse (the strong woman) on a crazy hallucinatory journey through the desert. I then went on to design looks for her while she was on this journey.”
The short film is soundtracked by Katie’s good friend Kanye West (she is the consultant of his menswear line) with the song ‘Blood On The Leaves’ and features model Enikő Mihalik as the artist’s muse in a somewhat scruffy appartment:
