At AW11/12 runway shows, bushy brows weren’t just seen here and there; they were the trend to rock! Bold eyebrows were seen on models at Christopher Kane, Nina Ricci, Fendi, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler and Roberto Cavalli (and this is only a brief sampling!). How to get the look?
Step 1
Start by cleaning up the shape of your brows; brush them upwards so you can see where hairs lie, then tweeze straggling hairs from below (never from above!) Pluck just one hair at a time to avoid over-tweezing. If your brows are looking thin or weak, try a strengthening serum like Billion Dollar Brows’ Brow Boost, which will help hairs to re-grow. To know where to pluck, you can also try BDB’s Brow Buddy, a plastic device that you can hold against your nose to know where brows should start and end.
Step 2
Once your brows are shaped, fill them in with a pencil or powder. Benefit’s Brow Zings shaping kit is complete with mini tweezers, two angled brushes and two shades of powder to define your brows. You’ll be amazed the difference a little powder can make in defining your face, a la runways at Ralph Lauren, Max Mara and Alexander Wang!
Step 3
Finally, if OTT brows are really your thing, you can make like Chanel models and add super sequence – though we might not recommend this for day to day at the office.
