Rumour has it that British Style Icon Kate Moss (she was awarded the style icon who best embodies the spirit of London as a creative fashion capital), may leave London and move to Paris!
According to an insider she wants to move closer to the epicentre of fashion, and although London is a creative and hip city, Paris is where fashion all began:
”Kate has told model agency bosses she wants to be at the heart of the fashion world. She loves Paris and always stays at the Ritz whenever she’s in town. After 34 years in London, Kate feels it’s time for a break – and cannot wait to immerse herself in the Parisian way of life. She found a gorgeous penthouse apartment in the most fashionable part of town – and immediately put an offer in and paid the requisite deposit to hold it. The plan is for her and Lila to move in the spring. Initially, it will be used as a weekend getaway but then she has the option to move here full-time.”
An interesting choice, since her ex-boyfriend Johnny Depp (the word still goes that she never really got over him) lives in Paris and the South of France with his French wife Vanessa Paradis. The chances to bump into them will be more frequent.
On the other hand, Kate’s modelling career had a jump start in the French capital in 1990 when she walked her first show for John Galliano, so we can imagine her having a special connection with the city. Even her biggest hobby, chasing after vintage finds, will not be lost in Paris….Enough fleamarkets and hidden vintage boutiques to make her heart beat faster!
