Beware! These little pastries are seriously addictive! I have had them twice in a weekend for B-day occasions, but even on a regular ‘I need to spoil myself’- moment I would definitely opt for these delish mini tarts.
Petit Gâteau is a French Patisserie/Atelier at the Haarlemmerstraat in Amsterdam. There is take away as well as a tearoom option for breakfast/lunch/brunch, but Petit Gâteau also offers workshops (fun for the kids) and catering.
The founders are experienced in the art of French pastry , and that’s reflected in the refined taste of the mini tarts which are based on a classic sablé dough with an array of lovely fillings and toppings. It’s so hard to choose, you just want to taste them all. We can’t even point out a favourite, but we had a slight preference for the passion fruit – meringue, white chocolate mousse with fresh raspberries, panna cotta (is one of the best sellers) and the salted caramel. A very tasty seasonal one is with creamy chestnut.
We could go on and on about it, so we recommend you to pay Petit Gâteau a visit. You can also find them at the newly opened Foodhallen.
