Earlier this week, Digi K and I ventured to one of our favourite beauty spots in Amsterdam, Skins Cosmetics, for the bi-annual press day. The store always has the latest selection of must-have products, so we knew we were in for a treat.
Our highlights include perfumes by YS.UZAC – especially the line’s newest fragrances, Immortal Beloved and Satin Doll. The super concentrated perfumes are made with largely natural ingredients like cognac, amber, black pepper or rose. The results are always beautifully fragrant without being overpowering.
We also discovered the amazing new NOSE program, which offers a digital perfume diagnosis. The program starts by asking which fragrances you wear at the moment, then digitally analyses and categorizes the scents you’re drawn to. It creates your own olfactory program and ranks which new scents could be a fit for you. Digi K discovered several new must-have scents (Philosykos by Diptyque, Flagrant Délice by Terry de Gunzburg and Eccentric Molecule 01) and I fell in love with Ananda by Jean-Claude Astier.
The NOSE program is free to try at Skins Cosmetics locations at the Conservatorium Hotel and Runstraat 11. It also keeps your profile in a database so the next time you visit Skins for a new perfume, your NOSE results will be easy to access.
As always, we explored the wide collection of skincare and body products, including Dr. Sebagh‘s new Supreme Neck Lift. The calming, hydrating and anti-ageing formula works to give your neck a ‘second skin’ and regenerate cells.
And here’s some good news! In September, 2013, Skins Cosmetics will open its newest location in Oosterbeek (complete with a Diptyque shop-in-shop). This shop will join their existing locations in Amsterdam, Breda, Groningen, Oisterwijk, Laren, Rotterdam and Den Haag.
