Sunday it was time for the Mulberry presentation. Looking for Mister Fox in the fairytale woods, complete with white dotted mushrooms. On Saturday I went to the show of Belle Sauvage at the Old Sorting Office in New Oxford Street. I didn’t really know the brand, so I was curious what I was about to see.

The Amsterdam International Fashion Week starts officially this Wednesday with two shows of Dutch designer Jan Taminiau (you know him, he made that awesome dress for our princess Maxima). And also the rest of the week is full of fashion.
Shows like the one from Chanel are better to be seen up close.Β And we already posted twitpics from our fashion-colleagues anyway, and now we can see for ourselves that Baptiste Giabiconi hasn’t lost an inch of sexiness looking like a Yeti.
And the iceberg (a real one from Sweden) looks better on video too. We only have one comment for ourselves: Dear Karl, we also want to look like Chanel Ice Princesses wearing icicle heels, soft white cashmere sweaters, cosy tweed ensembles, snowball bags and (fake) furry polar bear coats with matching boots. Thank you!

Ilja Visser is also a well established Dutch designer. Last season she presented a SMART for which she designed the in- and exterior, and tonight (right this minute) we’re at her latest show from the Ready to Fish collection.
The theme is Mrs Forrester, based on a mysterious woman who is close to nature, looking for a sprinkle of magic. Might she be a witch? That explains the high hats!
