Meet some motherf*ckers from New York City: Semi Precious Weapons. The support act of Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball Tour. We saw them performing live yesterday at the Gaga Concert and where a little in shock. Especially by the lead singer. Think: Perez Hilton gay but then a little bit thinner, with a cool rock voice but wearing nude tights, golden high-heels and a tong at the seem time. Gay Glam-Rock like you never seen it before…
Karl Lagerfeld is one lucky man. Our second favorite designer (Marc Jacobs is still our number one) will be in New York on September 10 to receive an important fashion award.
Did you know Marc Jacobs as an avid reader? Well, he is! Actually he did a lot of reading during his St Barth holiday, and that might have inspired him to open a bookstore.
Eddie Borgo's Star cuffs from his S/S '010 collection
He makes ‘punk-meets-posh’ jewelry according to the New York Times. American jewelry designer Eddie Borgo‘s star rises fast. His rock ‘n roll upbringing (funny detail: the families pet, a black cat, was named Sabbath…), New York street culture and the ideologie of the Punk movement, is where lies his inspiration.
We’re anxiously waiting on the Lady Noire sequel ‘Lady Rouge’. This second short film to introduce the Lady Dior handbag, that is produced by David Lynch and shot in Shanghai, will launch on January 14th.
The music and lyrics for ‘Lady Rouge’ are written by Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand. Marion Cotillard will portray a working woman who transforms into a sultry singer at night appearing from behind a velvet curtain in a New York night club…
Hell yeah! Fashion is our life-fuel! Too bad we don’t have a Digitalistas-office in New York yet…Otherwise we would drop by the Refinery 29 Save Fashion pop-up shop in Soho. Especially when the anouncement comes with such fashionable foggy pics.

Opening Ceremony was one of the most inspiring shopping-finds in New York when I was there in February last year. An online shop wasn’t available yet, but now it is! The Soho-located shop reminded us a bit of SPRMRKT in Amsterdam. Interesting labels, collaborations and stylish personnel are a common thing for both shops.
Opening Ceremony also has a muse: Actress Chloë Sevigny. Known for her distinctive sense of style, Chloë Sevigny has designed a collection for Opening Ceremony, since Spring 2008. She finds her inspiration in nostalgia for her early days in New York, high school thrift store finds, and music by Depeche Mode and the Slits.
