Have you heard about the rolling kitchens? Translated in Dutch it is ‘Rollende Keukens’. It’s all about who and what’s cooking on wheels. From cakes to burgers, and everything in between concerning food and beverages. Last weekend there was a mini-festival of rollin’ kitchens in Amsterdam. Check out some snapshots!
Imagine nice weather, and good food. That is what the 2012 edition of Taste of Amsterdam has planned to offer us. The annual food festival lands for 4 days in the Amstelpark in Amsterdam. It is based on an internationally successful concept, and has already achieved its 4th season in our hometown.
We all know Pantone colors. What about tarts in the colors of the color swatches? These were made by a French art director, Emilie Guelpa. She created the tarts to match a pantone color. As we always say; food is also a work of art.
Lemon loaf is the perfect sweet treat to welcome spring. Tip: if you’d like to make the recipe a bit more calorie-conscious, replace half of the cream and butter with unsweetened applesauce. It will leave the cake moist and yummy while omitting half the fat, and you won’t even taste it!
