The Fashion Eye: Don’t Cry in Front of the Bananas

Striped dress: H&M
Shoes: Tosca Blu

On The Digitalistas we’re about ‘sharing is caring’. When we come across talented people -wether in writing or other creative outlets- we offer them a stage to display these talents. Recently we met photographer Laura Andalou of which we proudly present the editorial: ‘Don’t Cry in Front of the Bananas.’ Read about Laura’s inspiration below:

Chanel’s ‘little black jacket’ in Japan

As we have mentioned before, Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld are working on a book featuring Chanel’s Little Black Jacket. The first exhibition featuring pictures from the book has been opened in Japan, where many of the ‘models’ made their acte de présence; Sarah Jessica Parker, Alice Dellal, Saskia de Brauw, Clemence Poésy and Vanessa Paradis just to name a few.

Digitalistic style: Dev

You may have heard her on Like a G6 by Far East Movement or her latest song In the Dark, but performer Dev (full name: Devin Star Tailes, TD) is also into fashion. She likes to be experimental since she didn’t grow up with much, it pushes to be creative with what comes at hand. Now it’s part of her job, but also part of being a woman as she says: “Style to me is very important. It’s fun, I am a female, so some days I feel like being on sneakers and jeans, and other days I’m on stage and I get to wear these really cool house pieces and heels and tons of jewelery.” Check the video….

Supporting our local talents: Kreativ

Everything with a relation to creation or creativity catches our attention. And we strive to support our local talents in many areas, from fashion, to music, to art.

Kreativ is a platform recently (January ’11) started by Bram Post (aka DJ Mailman), Tim van Citters, Tijs Luitse and Joppe Muller, passionate for music and other creative disciplines. With this platform they aim towards an ever expanding Kreativ network to develop music, film, photography and graphic arts-projects related to events.
