Rough and studded. With a waxed canvas exterior and steel studs around the ankles and stitchings. These are the All Stars sneakers we have been waiting for. We’re gonna kick ass with those John Varvatos for Converse!

H&M has developed a sustainable collection. Entirely made of recycled materials . The items are shown in this video and are being commented by Emily Zak, Executive Retail Editor Vogue UK.
Despite being made of what once were synthetic materials like plastic bottles, the result feels almost like silk. The collection is produced in a total white color palette which enhances the crisp and clean feel of it.
It was also my (Digitalista K) birthyear. Yes, I’m an oldie. But I can at least say I’ve seen fashion evolving through three decades already. French magazine Jalouse brought an hommage to the year of 1977 in their February issue. Ofcourse I could not leave the bookstore without this collector’s item, and share some of my thoughts with you….
If you thought carnaval only happens in Rio…think again! Our small little country has a huge carnaval-culture in the south. For those who lack of inspiration on how to dress up, try some lipstick-art…then you won’t need an outfit.

Oui, oui, it’s Paris Fashion Week! Dutch designer duo Viktor & Rolf presented their latest autumn/winter 2011 collection at the Jardin des Tuileries’s Espace Ephémére. A runway show full of red faces, black and white outfits with a little bit of red. Hilary Alexander (Telegraph) wrote about a futuristic ‘Jurassic Park’ feel, as gleaming short-strapless dresses, jackets and pleated skirts appeared in silver leather, bristling with multiple applications of jagged-edge fins and fans. Well, didn’t we all love that exciting movie back in the days?
Found another girl with a Digitalistic style we definitely agree on! British singer/songwriter Jessie J. Quote: “Style to me is what makes you feel comfortable. I’ve always said that style should not have a brand. I don’t think style should be not about how much money you wear on your back or your shoes, or…I just think it should be an artistic or creative outlook on who you wanna look like.”

Digitalista K’s dreamcar is a MINI. She has driven the one of her ex-boyfriend and since then she’s hooked. Unfortunately she can’t afford to buy herself one yet. Otherwise you might find her at the MINI drive-in cinema. Another great concept from the Cool Hunter‘s Acces agency. Remember McFancy? That was also one of their genious ideas.
Want to know how Digitalista K’s dream MINI would look like? Probably like this one spotted in London:
When I saw these boots from Christian Louboutin they instantly made me think of KISS. You know, the scary-looking rockband from the 80’s. Maybe that ‘I was made for loving you’ rings a bell? (the guitarist with his tongue hanging out- Gene Simmons- used to scare the sh*t out of me when I was little).
How much glamrock can you get your shoes? This is the summum if you are prepared to spend €2425…
During the press days last couple of weeks we spotted these digitalistic shoes by shoe designer Jelske Peterson. They are different and edgy, but there is still something feminine about them. Jelske also designed a collection for Dutch designer Antoine Peters.
