Seven days in Puglia, Italy, was one of the best holidays of my life. My boyfriend and I spent the week driving between small towns, checking out amazing beaches, and of course eating copious amounts of delicious pizza, pasta and gelato.

The fourth and last day of our Tuscan getaway brought us back to Pisa where we arrived. We couldn’t leave without a close encounter with that crooked tower, could we?
There are still many cities for me to visit in Italy, though I believe Florence would end up in the top 3. It gathers history, art, fashion and authentic charm. Plus it is heaven for foodies!

When we spent the weekend in Lisbon, we stayed in The Independente Hostel & Suites. We couldn’t have wished for a better location, as it is situated in the heart of Barrio Alto.

Continuing our exploration of the best European cities to spend a weekend, next on the list was Lisbon. We had not visited the Portuguese capital yet, and now we think: ‘what took us so long?!’ It’ s a young and vibrant city with numerous cool places to hang out and chill.
