There are not that much models blogging. With the exception of Coco Rocha. And that’s a pity, because they have interesting lives. They work with designers and photographers, they travel a lot, meet fascinating people. It’s probably more exciting to read about their adventures than to read that my neighboor has boiled an egg…So thank God for the boys! At least they take the time to give us a peek in their model lives.

Last week at the very cool Hilfiger Denim Live party in Paradiso Amsterdam, I spotted Matt & Kim (a music-duo from Brooklyn) for the first time. I immediately fell in love with those guys. They rocked the club with their energy-filled performance like nobody else did! Especially Kim drew my attention. This small girl on drums, hit her drumsticks like another day would never come. And the best was, she had an amazing smile on her face all night long! She and her friend Matt had so much fun on stage that me and my friends went crazy on the dance floor. I liked it so much! To get in the right mood this morning, hereby one of their songs; Daylight. Watch, listen en then fall in love…
Last Saturday Digitalista E. and I (Digitalista K.) had a little chat with the Facehunter. He was in town for a booksigning, and as we made a habit of interviewing famous bloggers that visit our small country (Susie Bubble, Garance Doré, the Sartorialist…) we couldn’t skip this one either.

About ‘curvaceous’ Crystal Renn’s first appearance on a Chanel runway: ”Lagerfeld had cast the show with a slightly more curvaceous model named Crystal Renn, not seen on any Chanel catwalk before. This in itself was groundbreaking for the house, but there was also the return of personality models encouraged to…

Ever wondered what fashion peeps might be doing in ‘le petit coin’ (sophisticated French translation for the toilet)? Actually I couldn’t care less, but illustrator AleXsandro Palombo took this activity quite seriously and imagined what Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld, Tom Ford, Alber Elbaz and many others might be doing.
Let’s say you have got $2.2 Billion to spend. What would you buy? The whole Chanel SS2010 and AW2011 collection including a thousand pair of Louboutin’s? A big yacht to go to the film festival in Cannes with all your friends? Or some kind of department store in London? Harrods for example…

Last Queensday weekend inspired me to write my first post as a Digitalisto. As
Queensday approaches, everybody is wondering what to do. Queensday is a
national holiday where we celebrate our queen’s birthday. It is
tradition to sell your old stuff at a flea market early in the morning. My wifey F. and friend I. decided to sell old clothes, shoes, accessories etc. on Queensday and I was there to help out and sell some of my own old stuff.
We all know the preppy and vintage styled people who pose on the street for streetstyle photographers like The Sartorialist, Garance Doré, Facehunter and of course our one and only Digi. E. But spotting trends on the street is in fact nothing new! Watch this: a trend page of ELLE Magazine May 1986. How cool is that, huh?!
