“Oh Micky you’re so fine, you’re so fine, you blow our mind, hé Micky!’ We could ‘ve written that famous line, after listening the new single T.L. from Paris-based singer Micky Green. Who she is? A blond style-icon and former muse of Karl Lagerfeld. What she makes? Think groovy, jazzy, vintage and poppy songs!

The last few months we have a ‘thing’ for slightly undiscovered bands. After Les Plastiscines ( for in case you didn’t know yet, Digitalista M. has got a huge music crush on them!) and Cha-Cha (the pretty-in-a-sweet-way- boyband from London) we now spotted a new pop-rock band from…Japan! You didn’t expect that, did you? Well, we don’t know yet what we have think of their crazy, up-tempo, hyperactive and little acquired beats, but we know for sure that they are hilarious in a positive way. Meet The Suzan!
It’s totally camp, makes us think of David LaChapelle photography, it reflects Lady Gaga‘s ambitions to become the next Madonna (dancing around in her undies and kissing women), but it ROCKS!
Okay, so we’ve let you hear the tunes of the song by Marion Cotillard and Franz Ferdinand, but tommorow, coinciding the Dior show in Paris, this videoclip– directed by Jonas Akerlund- will be released.
We’re still waiting on the David Lynch sequel though…Hope to see it soon…But for now, check the video after the jump!
Does this looks good to you? Well, be jealous, because we’ll be there! The 19th of March in Paris, le city d’amour…We can’t wait to rock!!! See a sneak peak below.
So funny! When the blonde girl in the pink parka from the video still has her geeky glasses on she resembles our Dutch actress/presenter Hannah Verboom. Beside that doppelganger effect, we like the fresh tunes from the band Cha-Cha. Discovered via a fellow blog, RDuJour. And as we like British bands and their cool sense of style…We could ‘ve just ran into these guys at Brick Lane!
Sometimes I get drawn by a record just by the cover of it. That’s what happened with MILKYMEE. I saw it in the Colette online shop, and I liked the title: ‘To all ladies in this place, with style and grace.’
Then I started listening to her cover of the Elvis Presley song ‘You were always on my mind’, in a raw, semi-accoustic version, and it sounded quite nice.
It’s obvious that actress Marion Cotillard is able to sing a nice tune. As we told before, part of the Lady Dior Rouge introduction would be Marion singing a song written and produced by Franz Ferdinand. And here it is: ‘The eyes of Mars.’
We still haven’t seen David Lynch‘s Lady Rouge masterpiece yet, but the Guardian UK reveals some of what we may expect…
On our quest for some ‘digitalistic’ music we stumbled upon Uffie. Who the f* is Uffie?? Well, she’s not exactly a singer, but more of an MC. But not the least because she worked together with Justice, Mr Oizo, SebastiAn and Mirwais (who produced Madonna’s American Life album, TD). She’s the new electro princess of Ed Banger records!
