Shirts are hot at the moment. Especially long ones with a twist. Like this one from Samsøe & Samsøe with an A-symmetrical finish. Very nice with a (fake) leather skirt or ripped jeans.

It is actually one of my favourite songs from Sting. ‘An Englishman in New York’ can be interpreted in many ways, and I was very much inspired by the way UK brand Ben Sherman translated the theme in their A/W ’12 campaign, in collaboration with Dazed & Confused. They presented the collection in Amsterdam yesterday, and I had a little chat with Mark Maidment, Creative Director of the brand. Read the interview after the jump >>>
I (Digi K) have sort of been collecting sweatshirts lately. They are comfortable to wear and easy to match. But I also like them when they have a little extra like the one I found from Elizabeth and James with contrast leather sleeves.
Haven’t found a bikerjacket for yourself this season? Then what about this one from ASOS? Real leather in a caramel brown color (also available in black and burgundy, cute!), with subtle quilted stitch details. Plus…very affordable.
At the moment my daily activities consist of jobhunting and being a blogger in any spare time I have. Which means busy evenings, busier weekends. Thus, I shall not complain but share. Because sharing is caring. Digi E kicked off with her adventures, and now it’s my turn to give you a visual insight of ‘my vida loca’…
At least this fickle weather gives us the opportunity to show off our new coats. Don’t have one yet? May we suggest this bow belt coat from Peter Jensen. Simple yet chique.
Nowhere is a collaboration between Nhu Dhuong and Swedish styeblogger Elin Kling. It resulted in a collection of strong basics with an edgy twist. You can build a complete outfit, from coat to accessories. The collection is limited, so be quick!
What we like about Philip Lim’s style is that little edgyness on minimalistic designs. He gives a visual styling insight on how to wear some of his men- and womenswear items exclusively for The Corner. Watch it here.
Yesterday evening, one of our favourites of the Dutch fashion scene, Claes Iversen, presented his Spring/Summer ’12 collection in an empty office-building. The show started with a short black & white video, featuring the Dutch actress Liz Snoyink.
The theme of the collection is based on the lovestory of a woman and her meticulously composed wardrobe. But it also underlines that fame and wealth go hand in hand with loneliness and transciency. Claes took some famous 5th-Avenue-ladies as an example like Jacky Kennedy, Nan Kempner and Mona von Bismarck; rich, upper-class figureheads, that posessed impressive private couture-collections, and at the same time their lives were marked by loneliness and melancholia.
There was this sheet with a selection of O’moda shoes I had to choose from. Which pair would inspire me the most? When my eye fell on the boots above, thoughts of Isabel Marant, western, navajo etc. came up. Time for some shopping, starring these O’moda western ankle boots.
