Espadrilles. We know them quite well. Part of our yearly wardrobe staple once we arrived on holiday destination in the South of France. There wasn’t much choice in the design at the village shop at the time. Just one flat model, but in a wide range of colors.

Whenever you are on holiday, visiting the local market is a must-see. Some places are even famous because of those markets, for example Ibiza. Well, okay, we love the island for much more than the markets, but the Las Dalias hippy market is certainly an important aspect. For those who don’t have time, or money, to go on a spring break; Ibiza came to us!
This week I was in Italy on a presstrip for Villa Massa -there will be an extended report about that soon- and while we were there we’ve visited the lovely coastal village of Positano. Now I here you thinking ‘how is that related to fashion?’, but we’ve noticed quite some shoe craftsmen there, mostly producing leather sandals.
Those of you familiar with the Dutch traditions must be aware of Kingsday tomorrow. It is the first Kingsday of an era, as we celebrated the last Queensday on April 30th last year, but except the date we don’t think much will change…We believe that the ‘royal’ color orange will be quite prominent again.

2014, the days of a thriving economy unfortunately are long gone. If anything, the phenomenon of fast food chains massively arising is a well-known one. Things got worse when the eruption of ‘fashion fast food’ started to conquer the greater deal of Dutch cities. Now what we have known for a long time is that Rotterdam is a city of innovation.
Rush day, rush week, rush everything! I even lose track of where I’ve been when I am running so much. This Wednesday Wear-about had to be a lunch break quickie, but luckily the black wall of a gallery nearby turned out to be a nice contrasting background.
