My beauty routine has been well finessed over the past, say, 15 years, and there are some products I just can’t live without. When I first moved to Holland I had a minor meltdown that I couldn’t find some of my favorite brands in the country – until I discovered Cosmania.
The store (located in Amsterdam’s 9 Streets) has, in my opinion, the best range of skincare products in the city, with brands like Elemental Herbology, Cowshed, Living Proof, Pai and Peter Thomas Roth.
My latest obsession comes from First Aid Beauty, a relative newcomer (founded in 2009) that’s already uber-popular in the States. I’ve been testing their Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream for a few weeks now and have become addicted.
First of all, this is the perfect night cream for summer months – it’s buttery but lightweight and absorbs easily, unlike many night creams which are oily and feel thick on the skin. Safe for all skin types, the Hydra-Firm cream works to deeply hydrate while you sleep, leaving skin nourished and smooth by morning while also helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
The formula is designed to work alone or with a serum, and it’s made without parabens, harsh chemicals or colorants. I’ve been testing it for about a month now, and am genuinely impressed with the results — my skin is smoother and softer each morning.
The whole First Aid Beauty collection is available at Cosmania.
