If you have such an idyllic garden, why not make use of it? Restaurant Herengracht is the proud owner of such, and decided to use the garden as a backdrop for some wintery comfort food.
The concept kicked off the Saturday before Christmas and we jumped in at the second edition: Let’s Go Wild. Light garlands, a wooden après-ski like bar, pick-nick tables and a boar on a skewer which had been slow grilled for 7 hours. Served with appropriate garnish; red cabbage, sauerkraut with potato mash and a celeriac/potato gratin dauphinois.
Indulge in a winter atmosphere without leaving town and be sure to catch the next winter garden celebration on Saturday February 21st when they will be ‘melting the cheese’…
All you need is good company, a glass of wine and enjoy.
