The start of a new year is the perfect time for a facial treatment – there’s no better way to kick-start 2015 than with refreshed and recharged skin. We head into a new year following a busy holiday season (too much food and drinks!), typically a lack of sleep and dry wintertime weather, so skin is seriously thirty for some TLC!
Last week I treated my skin to an amazing GREEN PEEL facial at the SOAP Treatment Store. The all-natural herbal peeling treatment has been used worldwide for over 50 years and is known for its ability to completely regenerate skin.
The hour-long treatment at SOAP combines a mix of procedures (a wash, the peel, a cooling mask and glorious hand and foot massage while the mask soaks in), and skin is left glowing and fresh. And per usual, the SOAP service was top-of-the-line, with a detailed explanation of all the steps in the procedure and close attention to detail (though, who could expect anything less from SOAP?)
The GREEN PEEL concentrate mask is made of eight herbs, algae extract, enzymes and minerals, and it works to gently peel the outer layer of the skin. The cosmetician will massage the peel into your skin to activate circulation, absorption and the peeling process. The ingredients are so active that they continue peeling for two to five days following the procedure. During this time, you’ll need to continue with Dr.Schrammek skincare products at home (available at SOAP) to ensure the peeling can continue doing its job.
Before the facial, my skin was looking tired, dehydrated and dull, especially since I’d spent eight hours on an airplane a few days earlier. The peeling was by no means painful, but did leave skin feeling tinging and fresh, as if it had been renewed. My skin was positively glowing following the treatment, and, as promised, did continue to radiate for five days as I continued with follow-up cleansing and toning at home using Dr.Schrammek products.
The GREEN PEEL was developed by Dr. Christine Schrammek-Drusio, a German dermatologist, anti-ageing expert and founder of the Dr. med. Christine Schrammek skincare line. The series has a complete range of products that work to effectively treat many skin conditions – in fact, the company was one of the innovators and investors of the Blemish Balm, which is now commonly known as a BB Cream. All dermatologically-tested products are made with high quality, active ingredients that help prevent skin disturbances.
I can’t say enough about this facial and what a great boost it is to get glowing skin in 2015! It can be booked at SOAP Treatment Store for €115.
