Enjoying delicious food while listening to famous (and least famous) writers while they read from their work. Can you think of a better way to spend your Sunday?
Every last Sunday of the month Amsterdam restaurant Baut organises Ink&Drink in collaboration with literary agency Bureau Bruinzeel. The restaurant serves a four-course lunch and the agency invites three writers or poets, a presenter and a dj to entertain you while eating.
We think it’s an amazing concept. The good food, good company (this event attracts a wide variety of people: hipsters, intellectuals but also young parents as well as families with grown up kids) and very entertaining performances of famous Dutch and Flemish writers (last week: Herman Brusselmans, Saskia Noort and Christophe Vekemans) made our Sunday.
These are the dishes we’ve got served:
– Wild mushroom soup with olive oil and pesto
– Bruschetta’s. Mozzarella, rocket cream and tomato; steak tartare with truffle cream; homemade tuna salad
– Risotto with grilled asparagus, parmesan cheese and wild mushrooms
– Brownie, coconut and white chocolate cream, vanilla ice cream, chocolate mousse
As we said, this is the perfect recipe for a lazy Sunday afternoon. Go and check it out!
