The Fashion Eye: MBFWA Tony Cohen

_PSL5828Commercial Cohen. The designs displayed were functional, wardrobe pieces made wearable by sticking to a neutral colour palette and minimal aesthetic.

Draping and pleating was a technique used throughout juxtaposing straight, slender cuts. Pattern cutting appeared essential to the success of the looks.

There was an attempt to break the norm and introduce a play on proportion with regards to tailoring. Lapels and cuffs were exaggerated in length and shoulders accentuated, some pieces felt distracting to the overall essence of the collection. However, classic drapes had been given a twist for a sharp elegant edge which worked effectively.
