A true must-see for all you fashion-photography lovers: ‘Arte e Eleganza’, a black and white photography exposition by Gian Paolo Barbieri. A collection of classic portraits of iconic women, like Audrey Hepburn, Vivianne Westwood and Sophia Loren; an international exhibition, but now displayed in Amsterdam.

The Italian fashion photographer Gian Paolo Barbieri is considered one of the best fashion photographers in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He worked for Italian, French and American Vogue and worked together with fashion designers like Valentino, Armani and Yves Saint Laurent. You could say he was partly responsible for lots of innovations in modern fashion advertising campaigns.

You can admire his aesthetic work from 11 January until 8 March 2014 at the Eduard Planting Gallery in Amsterdam (Eerste Bloemdwarsstraat 2). I would like to recommend this one if you are in need of some mindblowing and nostalgic fashion inspiration!
