I am not much of a ‘dress’ kind of girl, but I can make exceptions. If it combines chic and cosy like this two-tone dress from Carven it might win me over.
To start with, Carven is a hot ticket right now. It was an innovating couture label in the forties, then sort of slumbered away until Guillaume Henry was appointed Creative Director of the house in 2009. The label is now heritage infused with a contemporary sauce sprinkled over it. But most surprisingly, it is affordable for a prêt-a-porter label of this quality.
Now let’s get back to the dress. The sky blue and black fleece jersey sweater dress features a ribbed round neck, three-quarter length sleeves, a pleat detail to front and a straight fit skirt. It costs less than €300! Almost a Best Budget Buy…ha!
You can wear it a tad chique with killer heels and a clutch, yet I would imagine it with a pair of slip-ons and a boyfriend oversized coat as well. Versatile. Just the way we like it. Oh, and last week’s Acne frames would look amazing with it too.
