Eres S/S ’14

Eres_ss14_9We were already excited about the fact that Eres opened a shop in Amsterdam, and yesterday we had a peek at the S/S’14 collection.

Like we are used to with the French swimwear and lingerie label, it’s all about understated chic. No screaming prints or abundance -apart from a few key pieces such as some sundresses, a kimono, and a pareo (Herrero and Mayapan theme) plus one swimsuit and a bikini (Karma theme) that carry a colorful print- it’s all plain colors, but the details make the difference.

For example in a little fringed trim, or in the material. The house is known for its use of innovative materials. They were one of the first swimwear manufacturers using spandex, and quickly added other innovations like ‘Peau Douce’ (a knit capable of camouflaging imperfections) and Parachute Light; a second-skin kind of fabric which dries rapidly after a jump in the sea or pool.

As for the lingerie for S/S’14, Eres boasts a series of undies in sorbet colors named ‘Satin Frissons’, but also the ‘Jersey Lumière’ showing the power of pure and simple lines. There are more themes of course, but all consist of designs a woman in any shape or size should feel comfortable and pretty in.
