Phones are no longer just practical items, since the introduction of the smartphone they almost became our most important belongings. That’s why electronic brands constantly innovate so we don’t have the feeling to miss anything on our phones. Actually, most new smartphones are developed so well, lots of features keep surprising us.
Recently, I was invited by Samsung to check out their newest gadget: the Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom. It’s more than just a smartphone (that’s what they all say, but this one doesn’t exaggerate); it’s a camera phone. Yes, really, a really good camera combined with the musthave smartphone function.
To be honest, I am a really big fan of Apple. But Samsung is trying to win the Apple fans over by making the coolest gadgets. And this Smartphone, is really cool and makes me start to embrace Samsung.
For who loves technical stuff: this phone has a 15-megapixel camera, which means high-quality photos. And it not just a phone camera; it works like a real digital camera. You can set the ISO, shutter speed and aperture. I myself am still a newbie when it comes to photography, love it though, but I still have trouble with things like the perfect shutter speed or ISO. Samsung has a solution: really easy to work with Smart Filters. Like the Perfect Face feature: no Photoshop needed, your Samsung will edit your face with a few tools. It also has filters for every location, from taking photo’s of your kids to capturing waterfalls. The thing I adore the most, are the very easy color filters that you can choose before taking a picture, like the vintage or black and white filter.
Having all these nice picture options is great and all, but a true photographer likes to show his work. Which is easy with the Samsung Zoom! All your social media networks or blogs are just one click away. And if you are feeling really creative, there is a cool app for collecting all your pictures in one, named ‘story album’ which is provided by the company Blurb. With this pre-installed App, Samsung users can easily create a professional photo album and print it right away. So if you are addicted to taking pictures with your mobile phone, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 Zoom is the way to go. More than just a phone, and more than just a camera.
