Talking about some Throwback Thursday…Remember the legendary Woodstock festival in the 1969 (if you don’t, your parents probably do). Well, the site where it was held -Bethel Woods- will house the Mysteryland festival in the US next year.
For many years festival promoters have tried to access the Bethel Woods grounds, but ID&T – organiser of Mysteryland festival since 1993- succeeded after a year of negotiating.
To quote Darlene Fedun, CEO of Bethel Woods Centre for the Arts; ‘We chose ID&T’s Mysteryland brand as the first modern era festival on the hallowed grounds for its belief in many of the same principles as our own organization. Creativity, unity, social responsibility and a focus on the “experience” of the guest. We are delighted to be working with an experienced festival creator and an organization of such high core values. We look forward to welcoming our Mysteryland guests to our wonderful bucolic and peaceful setting here at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. We can’t wait to greet them!’
Mysteryland festival in upstate New York -Bethel Woods, will be held from May 23 to May 26 2014. Tickets for the multiday festival will be available in two months, but it is already possible to subscribe on www.mysteryland.com. The festival aims for exclusivity, therefore only 20.000 tickets will be available.
