Need to get your body into top shape for summer – and fast? The Bootcamp Club is guaranteed to be Holland’s next big workout craze, with locations across the entire country offering high energy, fat-burning, muscle-building workouts.
Curious what The Bootcamp Club has to offer, I joined a class in Leiden last week to see what the hype is about. The one-hour lesson was a high intensity but (surprisingly!) fun workout. Our fantastic instructor kept energy levels up and was constantly challenging us with new activities, so there was no getting bored.
After assembling at 10:00 a.m. at the designated meeting point, we started with a jog to a nearby park where we did leg and cardio exercises. After another jog, we worked on arms and core (push-ups and planks), and then ran to a different park for more arm and leg work (boxing, squats and wall-sits).
The energy in the group was great, as everyone was working together to make it through. As someone with a moderate physical ability, I found the beginner class to be a good challenge – and definitely felt it in my muscles the next day! Twice weekly sessions with The Bootcamp Club would be a fast way to kick your body into high gear.
If you’re the type of person who gets bored with the monotony of a gym workout, then The Bootcamp Club is worth a try. Classes range from beginner, moderate, advanced and extreme to “bootcamp for babes” (ladies only!) and urban bootcamp. They also offer special bootcamp programs, like “8 weeks 2 fabulous,” “8 weeks to superman,” kickbox bootcamp and a yoga bootcamp. Drop-in classes are 10 euro, or a number of package deals are available – click here for more info.
The Bootcamp Club offers classes across the entire country – all are outdoor and held rain or shine.
