See it shine already? Each year the Cannes Film Festival and amfAR host a charity fashion show and gala. This year’s theme is ‘gold’ and the show is curated by no less than Carine Roitfeld.
“I have themed the collection around the color gold – because it represents warmth, love and success” says Carine Roitfeld
The event, as part of the 20th Cinema Against AIDS to benefit amfAR during the Cannes Film Festival, will feature gold looks specially made for the evening. Here is a first preview from fashion houses Chanel, Burberry, Roberto Cavalli, Armani, Shiatzy Chen and Tarun Tahiliani, illustrated by Lula Herself, which will walk the runway at 9PM CET tonight.
Forty models will shine on the runway, including topmodels Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana Beatriz Barros, Andres Velencoso Segura, Angela Lindvall, Giovanna Battaglia, Irina Shayk, Isabeli Fontana, Joan Smalls, Jon Kortajerana, Karlie Kloss, Karolina Kurkova, Liberty Ross, Lily Donaldson, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Toni Garn and Roitfeld’s own daughter Julia Restoin-Roitfeld.
The event is made possible by LoveGold, an initiative of the World Gold Council and online community dedicated to gold jewelry highlighting gold as a precious and inspiring metal. A livestream of the event will be exclusively available on Lovegold.com.
