Model Material

What makes someone fit to become a model? How could the way one looks become a job and even an entire industry?

Go visit the exhibition ‘Mannequin, le corps de la mode‘, and you might get your answer.
At ‘La Cité de la Mode et du Design’ you’ll find a retrospective of the evolution of the model, from the 19th century to the present.

Photographs, videos and magazine covers tell the history of models. First anonymous, and later stars of the glossy magazines, even to become celebrities. Big names who captured them on print are represented, such as Henry Clarke, Guy Bourdin, Helmut Newton,  Nick Knight or Juergen Teller.

Visit the exhibition until May 19th. More information here.
