Funky bakery

This morning I (Digi K) was watching a food program on a French TV channel and it featured this funky bakery in Sydney.

For those who visit Australia it might not be new, but since I haven’t set foot down under yet, I wasn’t familiar with pastry chef Adriano Zumbo. And he has the coolest bakery: The Star Pyrmont (he actually has several shops, but this one really stands out).

It has a conveyor belt often seen at sushi places, except that the sushi has been replaced with delicious pastry. One of Adriano’s specialties is macaroons (zumbarons) which are placed in these glass display cases where you have to break the glass in order to fetch the ‘zumbarons’ of choice.

Why don’t we have bakeries like these in Holland yet?!
