In town for the Amsterdam Fashion Week this week? Don’t forget to hop by the exposition of illustrator Will Broome.
He’s well known for his work for Marc by Marc Jacobs, Missoni, Gucci, Hugo Boss and Topshop. For the latest one he designed a range of ‘Will Broome for Topshop’ T-shirts. The (fashion) illustrator – he likes to be called ‘a romantic artist – is in Amsterdam this week to show off some funky artwork.
Broome loves to work in a naive way. “I like the simple act of drawing, of making a mark. I can draw in a much more sophisticated style; I just choose to work like this. I don’t like anything too slick or computer generated.” And that’s the way we love to see his work.
