Cold Method: The Gentleman Activist A/W 2012-2013

Gentlemen can also be a bit rebellious, without losing charm and good manners. Sturdy and unpolished vs dandy-ish and groomed; the Cold Method man for A/W 2012-2013 was inspired by the revolutions of ’68 -the turning point towards a more progressive society- and especially the black & white pictures from that time.

In a packed ‘Compagnie Theater’ in Amsterdam last night, Cold Method translated the stylish activism in a collection of suits consisting of wool, tweed, corduroy and flannel. Quilted bombers gave the collegiate collection a casual touch.
There was a visible emphasis on the details: metal buttons and leather zip cords were custom made. The Autumnal color palette presents grey hues with contrasting burgundy, bottle green, ochre, and airforce blue. Black tones were mostly replaced by navy.

The brand also had something to celebrate: its 5 year anniversary. After the show the guests enjoyed cocktails, tunes and bites.

Be sure to check in on The Digitalistas tomorrow for an interview and a peek in the home of Cold Method’s head designer Dieter de Cock.
