If you bought some flannel check shirts already, then you are a lucky girl. For those who have not, we suggest the checked flannel shirt from Etoile by Isabel Marant.
Maybe that the name Trish Summerville doesn’t ring a bell, but the name of writer Stieg Larsson probably will. Trish is the costume designer of the film ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’, based on the first book of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium-trilogy.
Lisbeth Salander, main character in the book, served as a muse for a 30-piece collection. It’s edgy and urban, consisting of leather jackets and trousers, hoodies and ripped jeans, in black, grey, washed whites or dark reds. The collection will make its official debut at Colette in Paris on November 28, and will be available in Divided departments in approximately 180 H&M shops worldwide and online, starting December 14th.
We introduced El Rod a little while ago. So we’ll skip the introduction this time, because you can read it here. But we do want to keep you updated about what this ‘out-of-the-box’ artist has been up to. He has released an EP this summer, named Art Nouveau, in conjunction with jeanslabel Wrangler. Now a Deluxe version of the EP has been presented, from which the single ‘She likes it’ has an actual video. The first one in a set of visuals that will be released.

How lovely are these aquarels by artist/illustrator Cate Parr? She finds her inspiration in many places; Ealing Studios, French and Italian Cinema, couture design, along with music, photography, theatre and dance.
She was born and educated in the UK, but now lives in Silverlake, near Los Angeles CA.
Shirts are hot at the moment. Especially long ones with a twist. Like this one from Samsøe & Samsøe with an A-symmetrical finish. Very nice with a (fake) leather skirt or ripped jeans.
…Like they did last Saturday. A local swimming pool in Amsterdam transformed in an ephemeral tropical island overnight. Digi K was there. Pictures will follow in her diary soon. For now, enjoy the video. And see what you’ve missed, or relive the poolparty of your life…
It is actually one of my favourite songs from Sting. ‘An Englishman in New York’ can be interpreted in many ways, and I was very much inspired by the way UK brand Ben Sherman translated the theme in their A/W ’12 campaign, in collaboration with Dazed & Confused. They presented the collection in Amsterdam yesterday, and I had a little chat with Mark Maidment, Creative Director of the brand. Read the interview after the jump >>>
