It was big. It was crowded. It was like the whole Dutch fashion scene was there.. We are talking about the Supertrash fashion show last night during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. One word: DIGITALISTIC!
Oh dear Lord, we’ve never seen such a huge fashion show like this one. Olcay Gulsen made it happen in the Gashouder at the Westergas area. Complete with fire works, a huge runway, lightnings, a big screen and models sitting front row with tees on with the names of well known Dutch (fashion) people (so other ones didn’t get their hands on the AMAZING goodie bag). Craziness. And so not Dutch. But we liked it big time!
On the runway: nothing really special (oh come on, we’re not watching Chanel!) but very wearable. We liked the leather skinny pants, the sexy dresses, the haircuts and skirts and the beautiful black trench that could also be worn as a dress. We even liked Betty Boop on the big screen. And YES, the fireworks was a little bit to much. But maybe that’s what our little sober country need some times: international allure. Check the video below to see it yourself.
