The 'virtual' front row

We can pack our bags and just quit soon…No, just kidding! But bringing coverage from a fashion show’s front-row comes from a whole other source than our Mac laptops. The rise of the ‘live’ streaming is gaining popularity amongst designerbrands. There were already a lot of ‘live’ streamed shows from NY fashionweek, and the trend continues with London FashionWeek. The British Fashion Council even came up with the Digital Schedule. Ofcourse it’s up to you if you feel the urge to stay in and watch every show through a live stream, but it’s nice to have that possibility.

We do not totally agree with Hilary Alexander who says: “After all, who needs a short, quirky opinion from an amateur fashionista, when you can watch the entire show – as it is happening – and form your own opinions?” This is why:

1. We are not amateur fashionista’s

2. Nothing beats the experience of the ‘REAL’ front-row

3. Not everyone can stay at home and watch fashionshows all day

It’s a good solution for fashion editors and journalists to keep up when they’re not able to attend all the shows. But we are not ready to leave the building! We’re here to stay! Fashionshows are only one part of the ever growing, ever changing fashion business…

Hilary Alexander is just scared and she is a real control freak. She thinks she knows everything not realising she lost the fashion passion. Although, if you see a front row of 5 year old kids…well i agree. Rubbish
