Fashionable contests on Facebook

More and more brands use Facebook to start up and communicate their contests. A good way to reach ‘ordinary people’ and bloggers around the world.

When we were in London, Digitalista E., our muze E and Digitilista K. were competitors in a Topshop contest where Facebook was used as a medium to publish the photos and let people vote for their favourite looks.

It was fun to see the result on Facebook later on. Now many brands have discovered the power of Facebook as a social network.

Hugo Boss is on a quest for a new face through Facebook. Contestants can only take part on the contest by uploading pictures and personal information via the Hugo Boss Facebook page. Both men and women can apply. Hugo Boss aims to fill the catwalk for their Boss Black Fashion show on the 21st of January.

Denimlabel G-Star follows the trend of bloggers attending International Fashionweeks, and started a contest where the contestants can not only apply via Facebook, but also via Twitter, YouTube and Flickr. The winners will be placed frontrow at the NY Fashionweek show so they can report live, and they will attend the celeb-packed afterparty afterwards.
