The Chanel Cruise collections are always presented on surprising locations. Since Chanel is hot in Asia, and a new boutique opened in the Shanghai Peninsula Hotel five days ago, the Chanel caravan is moving to Shanghai to show on December 4th. After all, Shanghai is known as ‘the Paris of the East’.
No wonder that Karl Lagerfeld has designed some items that will only be avalaible at the new Shanghai boutique. Too bad for us, but if you have a relative travelling to Shanghai, that little problem can be rapidly solved.
Some of the items reveal a touch of the East with their bright cherry red colouring, but also the floral print of the mousseline blouse and scarf remind us of the kitsch embelished laque furniture you find at most Chinese restaurants.
And now we think of it, there could be an other solution for us to be less dissapointed that we are not in Shanghai to attend the show, or that the items will not be available here…Maybe Karl can send us Baptiste Giabiconi wearing nothing else than the scarf he beautifully presents on the picture…? It’s just an idea…
Hi from Wexford, very good post, deserves a Digg.
