You’re probably wondering who looks like the ‘scared deer in the headlights’. It’s Digitalista K after the M.A.C. technique workshop. She did not hesitate a second when a model was needed to demonstrate the party make-up. She usually doesn’t wear much more than mascara and lipgloss, so bring it on! (and she’s a bit lazy so prefered to sit down and get a make-over instead of making a mess doing it on her own…)
M.A.C. make-up artist Erwin went extreme. He took two different M.A.C. looks; Sculpture Club and Lid Vicious. K especially favored the last one, rockchick that she is…
….and this was the result. Check the massive LASHES!!! Totally burlesque! But then she had to go outside again, and all the people passing by looked at her a bit strange…no wonder!
For a Newyears Eve party à la mode, it’s a great eye-catching look. And not that difficult to create. This is what Erwin used to create K’s make-up;
The base is the Sculpture club look. Starting with the Studio Moisture Fix and Prep & Prime skin, a lipconditioner, Studio Moister Tint ( medium/dark), Mineralize Skin Finish, Pearl Cream Color Base, Sculpt Concealer NW25.
Then the eyes: Wedge eyeshadow in the arcade, Mystery on the lower lashes, and Naked Lunch on the eyelid. The lips stayed nude with NW35 on the lips and a hint of clear lipglass. The result was a clean and sculptured look as seen on many catwalks.
Now a wild touch was needed: the Lid Vicious look. Put a thick line of Smoulder Pencil above the upper lash, and blend it to the arcade, and apply (very lightly) some Club Eyeshadow to create the oil stain structure. The best way to blend is with the short-haired brush by making ‘windshield wiper’ moves. Finish with a whole lot of mascara or even LASHES. Extreme LASHES!!!
