Levi’s® loves recycling

Levi's recycles bicycles

It was store-opening week this week. It started with a brand new Levi’s®  flagshipstore in the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening.

The interesting part of the concept is that most of the interior is made of recycled materials. Think bikes left on the bridges near the canals, painted steel pipes now serve as displays, church benches are used to store different sizes of jeans, almost everything comes from thrift stores.

On the ground floor is where you’ll find the womenswear, including Levi’s® Curved ID. Menswear is available on the first floor, with emphasis on the Best of Levi’s® Collection -based on the brand’s heritage, but excecuted with a modern, temporary touch.

Besides selling jeans, the shop is a multifunctional space, where expositions, workshops, book- and CD presentations will be organized.

The new Levi’s® Store is located at the Kalverstraat 167. Opened 7 days a week.
